Delorme McKee-Stovall (Lennard)

Delorme McKee-Stovall was appointed to serve as Santa Clara County's Director of the Office of Human Relations and Secretary to Santa Clara County's Human Relations Commission in May of 2010.

Delorme has been a member of the staff of the Santa Clara County Office of Human Relations since 2001. Her work has focused on advocating for human and civil rights with a specialization in research and education on bias, discrimination, and equity within the community and government systems, and conflict resolution. Delorme has also promoted the integration of the human rights framework into organizational values and operations and inter-group conflict resolution and the promotion of best practices in conflict resolutions

Delorme has earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing and a Master of Arts Degree in Religious Studies.

Delorme's most recent achievements include receipt of:

  • The 2009 NAACP Freedom Fighters Award for her commitment to building a better community for all
  • The 2008 Karma Yoga Award for lifetime achievement in Social Justice from the Center for Spiritual Enlightenment
  • The 2007 American Muslim Voice People's Choice Award in the name of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. 2007
  • The 2004 internationally recognized "Gandhi, King, Ekeadi Award" for lifelong commitment to social justice from the Consortium of Colleges and Universities
