On this journey he has earned a Bachelor's of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, from Washington University in St. Louis. While in college he was licensed to preach the gospel and began his public ministry.
After earning his degree he soon transplanted to Detroit, MI with his spiritual mentor and became a founding member and the Youth Pastor of the Citadel of Faith Covenant Church. Rev. Jason learned indelible information on the needs of the church, organizational structure and the importance of volunteers. He returned to Chicago and began working as an engineer on a restoration project of one of Chicago's main transit lines. Rev. Jason soon fully gave himself to his call to pastor and enrolled in McCormick Theological Seminary where he earned his Master of Arts in Divinity. While earning his masters Rev. Jason saw the need for the church to be represented in the world outside of the church and also worked as a character educator in a suburban school district.
Rev. Jason became part of the Salem staff in 2006 as the College Pastor. In 2008 he became the Director of Church operations responsible for the logistics of Wednesday and Sunday worship services and special events. Rev. Jason Reynolds was then promoted to Youth Pastor and ordained into the pastoral ministry in 2009, where he oversaw the spiritual development of over 300 high school students.
On January 25, 2012, Rev. Jason Reynolds was called as the Senior Pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church in San Jose, CA. Believing that God has great things in store. Rev. Jason and family are excited about his move to the Bay-area. Rev. Jason Reynolds is married to Poch'e (Po-Shay) Reynolds and they have two sons, Jadon (Jay-Den) Reynolds and Jason Reynolds II affectionately called "Bubba".
