INFORMATION AND REFERRAL The agency provides the following referrals: Employment
Housing Services Health/Nutrition Child Care/Welfare We provide emergency clothing to needy individuals and families. JUNETEENTH FESTIVAL Festival is an annual event
sponsored by the agency to celebrate this African American holiday
commemorating the day western slaves got word of the end of slavery. The
event is a three day affair with religious and soul music, children arena,
health arena, food booths, vendor booths and various community educational
presentations. MODERN DAY YOUTH ACHIEVER LEADERSHIP ACADEMY The Modern Day Youth Achiever Leadership Academy is a program designed to provide solutions to the systematic causes that impair the positive transition of youth to responsible adults. Limited space available for meetings and small parties. Full size kitchen available with accompanying room rental. Please call for availability and reservations. On a weekly basis, we distribute groceries to needy seniors. SENIOR CHRISTMAS LUNCHEON We provide a Christmas luncheon to

pictures from last year's luncheon. During the summer months, we provide a summer day camp to educate children about African American art, history, music. The camp has featured poetry readings, storytelling and performances by various arts groups. THANKSGIVING FOOD BASKETS We distribute Thanksgiving food baskets to needy families and seniors TOYS FOR TOTS We provide Christmas toys to needy families. |
