Every year the AACSA puts on a Volunteer Appreciation gathering for our community volunteers and board members. It is an opportunity for us to eat, get to know one another better, learn about other opportunities to participate, and solicit feedback.

STEAM on Saturday is a free annual program, hosted by the African American Community Service Agency (AACSA) that aims to expose and indulge youth ages 8 to 17, and their families, to enrichment and educational opportunities in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics.

The Virtual Listening Session is a community engagement session community members, parents, and caregivers the opportunity to share with staff feedback about their experience with our programs, workshops, and events, and suggestions on future programming.

Positive parenting is an approach that gives parents tools and strategies to raise their child in an environment that is safe, loving, and predictable. Triple P’s positive parenting allows parents to decide what is important to them. It does not tell parents how to raise their children but gives them the confidence and skills to build good relationships with their child or teenager, set boundaries and rules, and follow up with consequences that are not harmful.
